About me
Hi, I’m Jodie! I’ve been working as a data scientist for over a decade now, and I’m currently doing data science advocacy at JetBrains. Before this, I did a PhD in psychology and a postdoc in biostatistics. I fell in love with data, statistics and machine learning in my undergrad degree, and I've been lucky enough to be able to keep working in this area for my whole career.
I’m originally from Australia but now live in Berlin with my husband and our cats, Guski and Macha. I’m slowly making my way through learning German, and when I have the time, I love baking and doing pottery.
Welcome to my site, where I share my writing, talks, podcasts, and the occasional fun project I’ve created across different areas of data science, machine learning, and AI. I especially enjoy making technical content that feels approachable and helps break down dense topics.
